    Each serving contains 3 billion colony-forming units (CFU) from four carefully selected bacterial strains, including Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium infantis, and Lactococcus lactis. These microorganisms are known to support the natural colonization of the gut – a key aspect for microbial balance from birth onwards.

    During the last six weeks of pregnancy, Orthiflor Start is dissolved once daily in lukewarm water and is best taken in the evening on an empty stomach. For babies, the powder can easily be mixed into breast milk, formula, or boiled water – child-friendly and easy to use.

    When should you start taking it?

    For pregnant women, intake is recommended from the 34th week of pregnancy. Infants can receive the product from birth.

    How is the powder administered to babies?

    Simply add to 10_ml of lukewarm formula, expressed breast milk, or boiled water (not above 37_°C). Administer within 5 minutes.

    Can I continue using the product while breastfeeding?

    For breastfeeding, the use of Orthiflor Fem is recommended, as it has been specially developed for this phase.

    Is Orthiflor Start vegetarian?

    Yes, the product contains no animal ingredients and is suitable for vegetarians.

    How long does the opened package last?

    After opening, the package should be used within three months.

  • Recommendation for use

    Directions:

    The recommended dose for pregnant women from the last 6 weeks of pregnancy is 3 grams per day (1,5 measuring spoons). Add the powder to half a glass of lukewarm water, let it rest for at least 15 minutes, stir and drink. Take on an empty stomach, preferably before going to sleep. The recommended dose for children from birth to 1 year is 3 grams per day (two scoops). Add to warmed formula, expressed breast milk or a small amount of boiled and cooled water (temperature maximum 37 ° C), do not allow to stand for longer than 5 minutes. Expert guidance is recommended for use by infants under six weeks of age or in infants (eg with cow's milk allergy) under medical treatment. Keep out of reach of children. Use open packaging within 3 months.
